Don't wait for the bang. Springs, cables and rollers wear a little every time the door moves, and a service catches that wear before it turns into a door that won't open on a Monday morning.

Our Bridlington engineers carry the common parts on the van, so if something is close to failing it gets replaced on the same visit — no second call-out. Most services take 60–90 minutes.

Why it matters

What a service does for your door

  1. Prevents costly repairs Small issues fixed before they become an emergency call-out
  2. Keeps it safe Worn springs and cables are found before they snap
  3. Extends its life Lubricated, balanced doors put far less strain on every part and the motor
  4. Quiet and smooth No grinding, scraping or juddering — just a door that works
What's included

The full service

  1. Safety and performance check

Full assessment of springs, cables, rollers, tracks, fixings and the overall balance of the door.

  2. Worn parts replaced

Common wear-and-tear parts — cables, springs, spindles, rollers — replaced where needed, from the van.

  3. Lubrication and adjustment

Every moving part lubricated, then the door balanced and aligned so it runs smoothly and the motor isn't fighting it.

  4. Opener and lock check

The automatic opener and lock mechanism tested and tuned, with a new lock and keys available on request.

Quick answers

Good to know

How often should I service my garage door?
Every 12–18 months for a door in regular use. If it's used several times a day, or it's older, an annual service is the right call.
What's included in the service price?
Inspection, lubrication, adjustment and replacement of standard wear-and-tear parts such as cables, springs, spindles and rollers. Anything beyond that is quoted clearly before we proceed.
How long does a service take?
Usually 60–90 minutes depending on the door type and condition. The engineer carries the common parts, so a return visit is rarely needed.
Do you service all types of garage door?
Yes — up and over (canopy and retractable), sectional and roller doors, manual or electric. If you're not sure what you have, send us a photo.
Is the service guaranteed?
Any parts fitted during the service carry a 12-month warranty.
Can you service my door if it's already faulty?
Yes. The engineer assesses the fault on the visit. Often a full service resolves it; if a separate repair is needed, you get a clear price before any work.
